Be active, keep learning, and have fun with SLPR!

Start 2016 doing something you have never done before, or try something you have always wanted to try!  SLPR is excited to be offering several new classes this season.  Bring a friend, and enjoy learning something new with your friend by your side.  We almost guarantee you will make some new friends at class too!

Have you always wanted to learn to crochet?   Now you can!  On Saturday, February 20th, SLPR will be

hosting a Learn to Crochet for Beginners class from 10am to 12pm.  Register solo, or invite a friend to register with you.  Bring your cotton yarn and a crochet hook (size H or I).  Participants will create a dish cloth to take home.

Expand your cooking repertoire, and join us for Middle Eastern Cooking!  Cooking is always a bit more fun with a friend – or, make it a date night for you and your significant other.  Savor scents of lemon, garlic, and mint as you learn to make rice & grain dishes, fresh salads, and homemade dressings.  This class is great for anyone – even beginners in the kitchen!  The class will take place on Tuesdays from 5-6pm at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center, March 1 – March 29th.

Getting married this year? Looking for an innovative date night with your significant other?  We have exciting Swing, Ballroom, and Wedding Dance Workshops–geared to get you stepping in sync with your partner.  All adult dance classes are instructed by Upbeat Dance Studio.  These classes are a great way to spend some extra time with that special someone, while learning dance moves that will surely impress!
