Martin Truex Jr. Wins Coca-Cola 600 Leading 392 of 400 Laps


Not since Richard Petty was winning almost any race he entered has anyone displayed the total domination of a NASCAR race thatMartin Truex Coca-Cola 600 Nascar Race WinnerMartin Truex Jr. showed in winning the 57th running of the Coca-Cola 600. Starting from the pole, Truex Jr. led all but 8 of the 400 laps, he was out front for an amazing 588 of the 600 miles run. What is even more remarkable is that Truex Jr. displayed that kind of control over a field that has produced eight different winners in 13 races to date.Penske Racing teammates Brad Keselowski finished fifth and Joey Logano finished ninth, the only two Fords in the top 10. The Captain fared better at Charlotte than his teams disappointing performance earlier in the day at Indy. The Sprint Cup series moves to Pocono Raceway next Sunday and then pays its first visit to Michigan for the Firekeepers 400 on June 12th.
