Flint Firebirds Hockey Players to Learn to Cookat Flint Farmers’ Market!


On Monday, November 7, 2016, there will be a special cooking class in the Dort Federal Credit Union Demonstration Kitchen at theFlint Farmers Market and all media is invited to attend.  Players and coaches from the Flint Firebirds Hockey Club will join Feast Cooking School Chef and Flint Farmers’ Market Culinary Director, Sean Gartland for a “crash” course on cooking for performance.  The class will take place from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and will feature several easy to prepare dishes.Chef Sean will be teaching the NHL prospects how to better fuel their bodies for peak performance during the hockey season.  He will focus on quick and easy meals specifically chosen for busy OHL hockey players.  The dishes will include tasty rice and grain bowls and other high protein options.  Once the class is complete, the players will of course be able to sample the easy and delicious meals.The Flint Farmers’ Market and Flint Firebirds have an ongoing partnership.  Since late summer there has been a Firebirds hub located inside the market for fans to purchase tickets and other Firebirds gear.  For more information please contact Chef Sean Gartland at 810.406.6696 or Firebirds’ Dominic Hennig at 586.925.6095.
