The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is probably not going to be first on the list when you go out shopping for a drag car, but let’s face it there might not be a better way to prove which Ford F-150 Raptor truck is really faster.
The Fast Lane Truck produced a great video putting the 2017 Raptor straight up against the 2014 Raptor and the results are very impressive for the all new aluminum bodied 450 horsepower EcoBoost V6. Keep in mind the 2014 V8 might be 411 HP, but the 2017 not only brings more horsepower to the table, it shaves off a whopping 500 pounds off it’s predecessor.
Now after watching that video you might be asking yourself how can it really beat the 2014 that bad with that horsepower and weight? Well, the improvements to not stop there as the 2017 Ford Raptor was born with a massive torque reading of 510 lb-ft. When you look back at the 2014 only putting out 434 lb-ft of torque, that increase is a major factor to the overall performance of this off-road beast of a truck.
So, you have seen the real lift results of the displacement wars now, would you drive the EcoBoost V6 over the old V8? Let us know in the comments below and visit Lasco Ford in Fenton, Michigan for inventory, pricing, and more information on the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor.
