The well known online news website U.S. News put the new F-150 against the Tundra, and the outcome let’s just say embarrassed the Tundra.
They took the two trucks and put them against each under in 11-0 categories that included Powertrain, Fuel Economy, Handling & Braking, Towing & Hauling, Interior, Seating, Technology, Bed, Safety, Reliability, and Pricing. The Tundra only skimmed by with a single category win by .5, the F-150 won overall by a landslide. The U.S. News said “The Ford F-150 offers buyers a plethora of options, more power, a smoother ride, and better bed tie downs than customers will find in the Toyota Tundra.” Statements like this really should not suprise anyone as the F-150 has been the best selling truck now for over 40 consecutive years since its launch.

Matt Lasco from Lasco Ford in Fenton, Michigan commented on the win saying “The F-150 has been leading sales here at our Ford dealership for years. Customer continue to buy a new F-150 over and over again every few years saying it only keeps getting better every time they buy one.”
U.S. News already has the 2017 Ford F-150 as the #1 full size truck money can buy, and after this showdown, it should should do nothing but solidify that ranking. What really should be pointed out during this comparison is how far the Tundra fell short in most categories. When you buy the Ford you get better options, better powertrain, better fuel economy, and so much more. Let’s just say we never doubted how this comparison was going to shed results, and we will continue to view the F-150 as the best selling truck for many reasons.
