For the third straight year, Lasco Ford partnered with Lake Fenton High School in a nationwide fundraiser sponsored by Ford Motor Company. The Drive for Your School program gives local schools and communities the opportunity to raise funds. For every qualified test drive done on the day of the event, Ford donates $20 to the sponsoring group. To date, Ford has contributed over $35 million to organizations nationwide and in Canada.

The event held May 20th at the Lake Fenton School Campus raised more than $5,000. With over 250 people driving new Ford models like the F-150 pick-up, the exciting Escape, and the economical Focus. The Lake Fenton High School Band students and faculty promoted the program and Lasco Ford provided the vehicles to drive. In total, the Drive for Your School program with Lake Fenton High School and Lasco Ford has raised over $13,000.

The product exposure is good for Ford and their local dealers. Test drives give people an opportunity to try out the great products Ford offers. No sales pitch, just a fun event for a worthy cause. The money donated goes directly to the school to use where most needed. Both Lake Fenton HS and Fenton HS have used funds to benefit their band and music departments.

Over $50,000 Raised with Lasco Ford

Since 2011 Lasco Ford has helped area schools earn more than $50,000 with the Drive for Your School program. Including over $20,000 for six events at Fenton High School adjacent to the dealership. Lasco Ford Vice President Matt Lasco says, “We love participating in this event. The schools benefit from the funds raised. We have people come to the dealership saying I drove one of your cars over at the high school and would like more information about the product.”

Kudos to Ford Motor Company for investing some of their advertising funds in a manner that benefits local communities.
