CRUST, Fenton’s favorite baking company is expanding and that is great news. The Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce held their September 12th Networking After Hours event in the New CRUST Restaurant at their location on 104 W. Caroline at River St. in Fenton. Just weeks from opening, Chamber members previewed the expansion to CRUST’s current facility, sampled some of their delicious offerings and scanned the new menu.

CRUST co-owner Mike Green reported the expansion increased the original 5,000 sq. foot facility to its new size of 13,500 sq. feet. Their staff of 100 is increasing by 45 new employees to handle restaurant operations. In addition, the new eatery will offer beer, wine, and liquor service.

Chamber members socialized in the restaurant’s dining space. It features a view of the food preparation area through two glass panes. Food samples were served out of the main kitchen. Those in attendance walked through to experience the additional space gained during the expansion process. With final decorating still to come, the ambiance of the dining area is still to be established. However, the large exterior window space provides a bright open feel to the booths and tables arranged through the interior.

The food samples were scrumptious. The menus feature a number of delectable choices and of course desserts include many of the selections bakery customers have come to love. We can’t wait to give it a try. Look for CRUST’s Grand Opening announcement in the coming weeks. The staff looks forward to greeting customers to a whole new CRUST experience.
