Dubbed “The PARTY: The Art of Glamour” A luminous evening of live entertainment, dinner, dancing, & drinks. As the FIA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, proceeds from the Gala help ensure that the innovative exhibitions, education programs, and partnerships that have been the Museum’s hallmarks continue to thrive.
The Flint Institute of Arts joined with Jennifer Lasco Real Estate, the events Premier Sponsor, to present a red-carpet entrance into a glamorous evening of fashion and photography in the newly expanded FIA.
And quite the “party” it was. Valet parking service keep the traffic flowing. The red carpet entrance led to a viewing area of the FIA’s new glass blowing and glass art studio. Complete with active ovens and artisans featuring their skills with the glass design process.
The open-air patio, in the center of the building, featured a selection of seafood delicacies provided by the evening’s food vendor Redwood Steakhouse. Food stations, located throughout the FIA’s hallways, offered a wide variety of their delicious menu items.
The open-air patio also featured the mellow sounds of Ben Sharkey and his band. Treating guests to Jazz, Swing, and Pop favorites.
Fashion also was on display and not just among the guests strolling the halls. A row of gorgeous dresses adorned the Institute’s main entrance and models in equally beautiful dresses posed on a riser in the patio.
Adjacent to the entranceway a large room offered the dance crowd a thumping beat laid down by DJ Captn20. As a photo collage of pictures, uploaded by the evening’s attendees, flashed on the end wall of the room.
Visitors strolled through many of the exhibits the FIA has to offer. Some stunning works of art on display thrilled viewers and provoked some interesting conversations.
The party rolled on late into the evening. Much to the delight of the patrons and the evenings beneficiary, The Flint Institute of Art.
