Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
Probably no one understands that better than those individuals who work in the housing market themselves. That’s why Jennifer Lasco Real Estate volunteered to help the Keller family from Fenton. “It is a privilege to help our local community in this way. Jennifer Lasco Real Estate’s Core Mission is to help our client’s dreams come true and to give back to the community around us.”
The concept for Habitat for Humanity began in the early 1970’s. Habitat now works in nearly 1,400 communities across the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. It has helped more than 13 million people achieve strength, stability, and independence through safe, decent, and affordable shelter.
After a search coordinated on Facebook, Jennifer Lasco selected the Keller Family for a home repair project. As an indelible extension of their mission to build homes, communities, and hope, Genesee County Habitat for Humanity provides critical home repair services to homeowners in certain areas. Genesee County Habitat and Jennifer Lasco Real Estate worked together closely to make this project come together.
The project consisted of working on the facade of the home and bringing the curb appeal up to community standards. Rebuilding the front deck, repaving the walkway to the home and brightening up the flower beds. By the looks of things, the project was a huge success.
Associate Broker Adam Haffajee helped lead the project. “Affordable housing and homeownership is so important for families and communities. We are thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Habitat for Humanity and the Keller family to help them improve their home right here in Fenton. We are excited to continue with more of these projects and continue to help those that need a hand up.”
