The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is not just about new model introductions. Yes, manufacturers roll out their latest vehicle designs. Floor displays offer guests the opportunity to compare brands up close and just across the aisle. Safety, technology, and innovation are all on display.
However, the chance to stand next to a race car and gawk is what gets the heart racing. NASCAR, IMSA, Indy Car, and even F-1 machines are set on pedestals for examination. Or in some cases, on the floor of the show where fans can touch and snap close-up pictures.

The Champion
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship is arguably the most difficult racing title to obtain. You must put together a solid competitive year. Make the playoffs and avoid a stumble in any round. Finally, you must outrace 3 other drivers and teams who have accomplished the same amount of success.
Joey Logano accomplished the feat during the 2018 season. He did so carrying the burden of Ford Performance not having won a title in 14 years. His now-retired Ford Fusion sits proudly on the floor of the NAIAS. Just a few feet away from the Mustang that will replace it as the brands 2019 NASCAR representative.
