When you look at the finishing results for both the 250SX and 450SX Main events from Arlington you might be confused. The same guys that won last week in Minneapolis, repeated this week in Texas.

250 Supercross Main Event

Austin Forkner(24) quickly overcame the holeshot by Kyle Peters(55) to take the lead at the end of the 1st lap. Forkner, the #2 qualifier behind Mitchell Oldenburg(66) never relinquished the top spot leading all 19 laps of the event.

Justin Cooper(32) improved from 3rd last week to finish in 2nd. With Chase Sexton(23) coming in 3rd. Last week’s runner-up Jordon Smith(28) placed 4th.

Forkner’s back-to-back wins earned him an eight-point lead on Cooper in the East Coast standings. He is 10 pts up on Smith in 3rd and +13 on 4th place Sexton.

450 Supercross Main Event

Cooper Webb(2) also accomplished the double back-to-back. As a matter of fact, the podium photo was a double take as Ken Roczen(94) and Marvin Musquin(25) repeated in 2nd and 3rd.

Roczen was the #1 Qualifier, earned the holeshot and led for a total of 20 laps. Webb qualified 6th and led only 1 lap, the most important one. The same trio sits atop the season-long points standings with a mere six points separating 1st and 3rd.

Next week the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series comes to Ford Field in Detroit. The Lasco Press will be on-hand to provide ‘Live Coverage.” Tickets are still available online, just click this link to order. See ya at the races!
