Fenton Weather: Temps to Drop This Weekend

FENTON, MI (March 29, 2019)

A week of mild temperatures treated Michigan to a pleasant introduction to spring. Unfortunately, it appears March will finish with one more blast of cooler weather. And yes, the s-word(snow) appears in this weekends forecast.

According to the National Weather Service, today will again see high’s in the 50s. Then tonight the forecast turns less appealing. “Rain likely before midnight, then rain and snow. Low around 34. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.”

“Rain, possibly mixed with snow. High near 39. Northwest wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.”

Saturday night: “A chance of rain and snow before 9 pm, then a chance of snow between 9 pm and 2 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday clears with a forecast high of 36, dropping to 22 overnight.

The Return of Spring

Next week temperatures return to the 40s and 50s. Rain is a possibility later in the week. Hopefully, we get a dry spring weekend to enjoy as we transition in April. Midweek April showers that bring May flowers would be ok.
