Michigan Celebrates Small Business has recognized a Fenton retailer in its annual list of award winners. Feast Gourmet Kitchen Shop has been named one of 2019’s Best Small Businesses.

Owner Sean Gartland will receive the award at this year’s Michigan Celebrates Small Business Awards Gala on May 8, 2019, at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.

Feast Gourmet Kitchen shop is Fenton’s premier kitchen store. Sean has stocked his shop with the products he uses as a top quality culinary chef. He offers a full line of kitchen products from pots and pans to chef quality knives.

He also has a line of specialty food products such as unique flavored kitchen spices, different cooking oils, and an assortment of different kinds of vinegar. All will surely add a little “bite” to your home-cooked meals.

What Else is Going On at the Feast Shop?

At Feast Gourmet there are regularly scheduled hands-on demonstrations. Sean hosts everything from private events to cooking classes. Their mission statement says it all!

Classes

Sean teaches everything from basics like chef friendly knife skills to advanced techniques like the creativity and fun side of baking pastries. He even teaches classes on preparing all types of ethnic foods. Sean strives to help connect people through the art and joy of cooking.

Sean’s classes are limited to 10 people, so things won’t get overwhelming, and he can concentrate on individual students. Each person has the ability to not only have fun but focus and have the chance to ask any questions. Sean will not only have you walking out with chef quality products but, with pure confidence to produce them in your kitchen.

About Sean Gartland

Sean Gartland grew up in Flint, Michigan. He has always had a passion for cooking. After high school, he spent many years in the restaurant industry. He went to culinary school at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island. He lived in Chicago for a while where he started teaching classes at the Chopping Block.

Sean started his own business about 5 years ago conducting private cooking classes in people’s homes. He then began posting classes in 2014 at the Flint farmers market for the public. Sean, his wife, and three kids opened their shop here in July of 2017.
