Bishop International Airport, Flint, MI — April 15, 2019
Bishop Airport officials announced last week that American Airlines was adding a new route out of their hub in Charlotte, NC to Flint. Daily service is scheduled to begin on September 4, 2019. Tickets go on sale today for flights on their 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets with the possibility of adding larger planes pending demand.

Great News for Bishop Airport
Airport Director Craig Williams was thrilled at the news, “This is a game-changer for Flint Bishop Airport, the entire region will have nonstop jet service to the East Coast with easy connections up and down the eastern seaboard, as well as internationally.”

In Charlotte, Dec Lee, vice president of Charlotte Hub Operations for American, released a statement saying, “American Airlines is excited to be able to connect customers from Flint to more than 160 destinations in 25 countries, with as little as one stop through the Queen City.”
