One of the great things about the Fenton community is the area’s dedication to the arts. Appreciation of Architecture, Sculpture, Painting, Literature, Music, Performing Arts, and Film is deeply ingrained in Genesee County as a whole. We are lucky to have the support of so many to keep various programs alive and thriving.

The Greater Flint Arts Council recently announced that 4 Fenton area organizations were awarded a total of 5 grants on behalf of the arts.

Share Art Genesee Grant Recipients

Greater Flint Arts Council is providing these Share Art Genesee grants in Genesee County to build the capacity of local arts organizations to reach their potential in transforming our communities into vibrant, inclusive destinations with a unique sense of place.

Art can be a powerful way for multiple narratives to be heard, seen, and included in the knowledge and experiences of a community. The arts can build a sense of community through shared experiences, improve the quality of our lives by providing outlets for the creativity inherent in all of us, and stimulate economic development by attracting visitors to our community.

The following organizations received the grants.

Fenton Arts Council

Programs & Services Grant of $5,000. The Fenton Arts Council works at “Creating, Promoting & Supporting all forms of Arts & Culture in our Community for Over 40 Years!
