Health HQ Fenton, MI — May 11th, 2019

Does your back hurt when you roll out of bed in the morning? Did you pull a muscle on your latest visit to the tennis courts? Were you injured in a fall, a car accident or while performing a task at work?

Too many of us live with aches and pains that can be eliminated with the proper treatment techniques. With the focus on minimizing the use of opioids, more Doctors are prescribing some form of therapy to treat chronic pain instead of masking it with pills.

Insurance companies are generally more willing to treat a condition with therapy, avoiding the expense of surgery and rehabilitation. If this sounds familiar, keep reading.

Health HQ

Last year we introduced you to Mitch Babcock, Doctor of Physical Therapy. His specialized one-on-one evaluation and treatment programs helped many of you who were unable to find success with conventional therapy methods.

Great News! Dr. Mitch has taken his practice to the next level. Partnering with fellow Dr. Alan Fredendall and teaming with Licensed Massage Therapist Christine Brown, the team now offer their personalized therapy services to a broader clientele.

Now with the ability to invoice directly most major insurance carriers in the State of Michigan including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and Medicare, Health HQ gladly accepts patient referrals from primary care physicians.

Transforming Physical Therapy Into Wellness Services

What sets Health HQ apart from conventional physical therapy clinics? The cookie cutter approach to rehabilitation therapy centers is to have you evaluated by a doctor and then your care is passed on to a therapist.

At Health HQ you are evaluated by Dr. Mitch or Dr. Alan and they provide the treatment that is designed to address your current condition as well as improving your overall health. This personalized treatment plan uses therapy designed specifically for you, instead of standard exercises developed for a broad audience.

About Dr. Mitch

Mitch has been practicing physical therapy since 2016 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Saginaw Valley State University. He opened HealthHQ in 2016 after graduation.

Mitch enjoys practicing physical therapy with a fitness forward approach that combines manual therapy and active movement in order to help you return to doing the things that you love or helping you start on the path to a healthier lifestyle.

About Dr. Alan

Alan has been practicing physical therapy since 2017 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University. Alan joined HealthHQ in 2018 and splits his time between coaching CrossFit and physical therapy practice. He began CrossFit in 2018 and fell in love with the methodology (and the results!).

Alan has lost over 150 pounds since beginning at CrossFit Fenton and understands the difficulties in making healthy changes in your life. He loves to help patients pursue a more active and healthier lifestyle. Alan holds advanced certifications in dry needling, blood flow restriction training, and treatment of pregnant and post-partum athletes. He has pursued advanced CrossFit specialties in aerobic capacity training and working with adaptive athletes.

Introducing Christine Brown

Christine has been coaching CrossFit since 2014. Her love for learning how the body moves inspired her to go to school for Massage Therapy. She received her degree from the Flint School of Therapeutic Massage and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2018. Christine is also a CrossFit Level 2 coach and part of the staff at CrossFit Fenton.
