Brixmor Property Group to Invest in Upgrades to Existing Businesses in Fenton's Biggest Retail Site

Silver Pointe Shopping Center, Fenton, MI — May 4, 2019

As construction continues at the site of the old K-Mart on Silver Parkway, Brixmor Property Group has big plans for the additional retail space at the Silver Pointe Shopping Center. Construction of the TJ Maxx, Michaels, and Five Below stores and the newest addition a Skechers Outlet is moving towards an anticipated October opening.

Brixmor has received approval from the Fenton Planning Commission to construct upgrades to the existing facade and additional improvements to the site. The project is designed to make the shopping center an attractive location for businesses who want to come to the fast-growing Fenton area. With the arrival of the major players coming to the Silver Lake storefronts, the timing of the projects seems ideal.

A Solid Customer Base

Supported by the existing VG’s and Dunham’s locations the site currently draws an average of 21,000 customers a week according to Brixmor’s demographic research. Providing outstanding potential to prospective tenants.

The make-over will provide an additional enticement to businesses wishing to relocate to the area or those looking to add a new retail point in Fenton.

In addition to the cosmetic changes to the buildings, patio seating areas and a courtyard are improvements that were included in the proposal the commission passed. Work is expected to begin this Summer. We will be excited to see the changes to the complexion of the street view and what companies jump at the opportunity to do business in our town.
