Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club, Grand Blanc, MI — June 6, 2019
A diagnosis of breast cancer is a devastating moment in the life of a woman with the disease. It drains families physically, emotionally, and financially. The lowest point comes when the patient loses hope and seemingly has nowhere to turn.
It’s the goal of The Pink Par-Tee 501c3 Fund to provide financial support to help meet basic needs, decrease stress levels and allow breast cancer patients in active treatment to focus on healing. By partnering with cancer treatment centers in mid-Michigan, Pink Par-Tee fund donations are also used to purchase critical treatment tools used in radiation and chemotherapy.

Raising Funds for the Cause
The Pink Par-Tee website references the inspiration behind the creation of the fund.
“Members of Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club of Grand Blanc, Michigan, created Pink Par-Tee in 2010 to honor their friend, a young mother and avid golfer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
They were inspired by her experience during treatment whereby she met many women struggling financially and emotionally as they fought to survive. It was clear that money raised must go directly to women fighting the disease to help with their daily needs – this would provide the greatest impact.
Pink Par-Tee, attended by Warwick lady members and their friends, is a fun-filled, annual golf event that celebrates breast cancer survivors and honors those who have lost the fight while raising money for women of mid-Michigan undergoing breast cancer treatment.”
This Year’s Event
Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club is a beautiful setting for a golf tournament.

Add the significance of the event, the support of the membership and it becomes the perfect venue.

The day started out with breakfast in the clubhouse.

The Warwick Hills staff was looking very Pink.

Opening Ceremonies on the Putting Green tugged at the heartstrings.

Caddies for a Cause added additional funds to the daily total donating their services to boost the fundraising efforts.

Groups hit the course to test their golfing skills and to just have fun.
Everyone was anxious to see the outcome.

Sponsor contributions, raffles, and auctions all added to the fun and pumped up the donation totals.

The theme of the day was summed up in contributing to a worthy cause and having fun doing so.

More Opportunities to Make Hope Happen
The Pink Par-Tee would not be possible without the generous support of sponsors. This year’s Title Sponsors, Christy and Doug Walls from Eagle Excavation Inc. and Specialty Sponsor, Jennifer Lasco of the Lasco Real Estate Group. Security Credit Union, Midpoint Construction & Restoration, and Stephens Wealth Management Group all encourage you to assist in this worthwhile cause.
Additional donations from community members are greatly appreciated. It’s not too late to add your gift to this year’s totals. You too can make “Hope Happen.”
