The Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, CA — August 28, 2019
When the Detroit Youth Choir first performed on America’s Got Talent in June, they were sent directly to the Live Shows courtesy of Host Terry Crews’ advancing them with his “Golden Buzzer.”

Last night’s performance topped their original audition according to Judge Simon Cowell. They delivered an emotional cover of “The Champion” by Carrie Underwood with Ludacris.
The “Live Audience” responded with a wild standing ovation for their quarterfinals performance.
During the live shows, advancement to the next round depends on how America votes. Results are announced the following evening with the highest vote-getters moving on while the acts that end up on the bottom half of the vote get eliminated.
The Competition
Advancement should be a certainty based on the crowd reaction to the other 11 acts that performed. Only one performance rose to the same level as the Detroit Youth Choir.
Magician Dom Chambers used some clever math to bring the audience to a common denominator and then delivered some cool effects to top off his act.
America Loves The Detroit Youth Choir
During the results show the Detroit Youth Choir was the first act to advance to the semifinals. Chambers the magician also moved on. Each round raises the level of competition, will the Choir make it to the finals and a chance at the Million Dollar Grand Prize?
