Barnfest, Linden, MI — September 4, 2019
The annual celebration of local bands and local charity is this weekend at Stoney Acres in Linden. Barnfest brings together musical groups donating their time and talent to appreciative crowds whose ticket to get in is a donation of canned goods to help families in our area that need assistance.

About Barnfest
Barnfest is the brainchild of Linden resident Phil Schmelter. Now in its ninth year, the annual music festival held at Phil’s farm, Stoney Acers, generates food donations to assist needy individuals and families in the greater Linden-Fenton area. Phil, wife Debbie, and their friends started this endeavor of organizing a concept giving local homegrown bands a place to showcase their talents and inviting neighbors to come listen to a night of music.
The cost of admission? Bring 5 non-perishable food goods to donate to a local food bank that assists families in need and homeless individuals in the community. Cash donations of $5 and 10$ are accepted to offset the cost of hosting the festival.

The Event
The festival grows every year, donations are measured in tons. Located at 6365 Lobdell Rd Linden, MI, this year’s event is scheduled for Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th. Bring your tent, camp out on-site for both days. Dance in the barn, sit around the campfire outside, eat, drink, and enjoy great music.
