Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, CA — September 12, 2019
Last night the Detroit Youth Choir booked their ticket to the Finals of America’s Got Talent. The talented group from the “Motor City” performed a rousing cover of “High Hopes” by Panic! at the Disco to become one of the 10 acts with a chance to cash in on the $1 million dollar grand prize that goes to the winner.
The singing and dancing group again brought the audience to their feet for a long-standing ovation. Judge Simon Cowell said their performance on Tuesday’s show was better than their acclaimed audition that earned them a Golden Buzzer.
Next Tuesday, September 17, the 10 acts that made the finals will perform for America one last time. Text and online voting will determine the winner. The choir finished as one of the top 3 acts in this weeks semi-final vote. They are a legitimate contender to grab the top prize when votes are announced on Wednesday’s (September 18) season finale.
