Fenton, MI — December 26, 2019
One of the pillars of a great community is its education system. Fenton Area Public Schools have the reputation of providing top tier academics, competitive athletics, and an outstanding arts program to its students. This level of achievement is not accomplished without the support of the community itself.
The Fenton Education Foundation plays a key role in assisting various programs at all levels of the Fenton School System. Drawing the community together for fundraisers and providing teaching grants enables Fenton to reach the higher standards it endows upon its students.
About the Fenton Education Foundation
Since its founding in 2004, The Fenton Education Foundation has been focusing on strengthening our schools and community by partnering with businesses, parents, alumni and the community to raise funds for our district in support of both present and future needs.
The Foundation has been able to provide over $140,000 in teacher grants since its inception and also has an endowment fund that continues to grow. The Foundation has a Board of Directors made up of volunteers that are business owners, parents, and community members. In addition to the teacher’s grants, the Foundation also raises funds for specific needs within the district such as the Safety Campaign and the Positivity Project.
Support
Of course, the foundation can do nothing without the support of the community. Under the leadership of the all-volunteer board of directors, the Foundation holds five primary fundraisers each year. The events all have a different theme and provide fun social engagements for those who participate. Here is a list of the activities on the schedule for 2020.
