It seems new business openings in Fenton are on an upward trend. The positive momentum generated by the successes of the Silver Parkway retail outlets, downtown building projects, and new restaurant openings has shown our community is a great place to do business.
The old K-Mart property has been transformed with the additions of Skechers, Five Below, and T.J. Maxx. These popular retailers will be joined by Michaels early in 2020 and the newest announcement that Carter’s/OshKosh B’Gosh is coming to town.
Carter’s / OshKosh B’Gosh
The iconic brand of children’s clothing, Carter’s, traces it’s history back to 1865. In 2005 Carter’s joined with OshKosh B’Gosh another children’s clothing company that has been around since 1895. Trusted by families for over 150 years, Carter’s popular styles have been marketed by Sears, JC Penny’s, Macy’s, and Khol’s in addition to the over 600 Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh stores and outlets spread out nationwide.
The company is in the midst of “an aggressive nationwide expansion into major
and secondary metropolitan markets” in specific Eastern and Midwestern States. The new Carter’s store in Fenton will join current locations in Howell, Novi, Ann Arbor, and Birch Run. Look for the Fenton store to be open in April 2020.
