Fenton, MI — January 21, 2020
McLaren, one of the largest health care providers in Genesee County is making a major investment in our community. A recent renovation of their facility at 2420 Owen Road in Fenton consisted of adding a 3-D mammography machine, putting in an on-site laboratory as well as adding physician office space. However, there are more improvements already in the works.

Emergency Services Upgrade
The building, almost directly across the street from Lasco Ford, is undergoing a further transformation to accommodate a full-service emergency room. A first for Fenton area residents. The upgrade is expected to be completed in early spring and will offer 24-hour service, seven days a week.
Trauma physicians will be able to evaluate and treat cases on-site with more serious or longer-lasting treatment situations being transferred by ambulance to McLaren-Flint. Close by emergency care for cardiac and stroke patients is another benefit to the location in Fenton. When time is critical in the immediate care of a patient, the facility may well be a life-saving asset to area residents.
We look forward to a grand opening announcement and touring the new emergency and health care center. Thank you, McLaren, for your investment of over $12 million dollars to assist our friends and neighbors.
