Camp Copneconic, Fenton, MI — February 29, 2020
Pet lovers gathered at Camp Copneconic for Fenton Adopt-A-Pet’s annual fundraiser dinner and auction. The Hollywood themed Wags and Whiskers in the Woods provided an opportunity for attendees to dress up as their favorite movie characters.

Some truly amazing costumes we showcased as guests strolled through the silent auction offerings prior to dinner.
Rusch Entertainment provided DJ’s throughout the evening. The music inspired dancing, singing and provided a great background to the activities.

The staff at YMCA Camp Copneconic hosted a delicious meal that included an extravagant salad bar, dinner buffet, and dessert tables covered with an assortment of creamy cheesecakes. The facilities were decorated entirely by the volunteers of Fenton Adopt-A-Pet.

The cash bar kept the drinks flowing all night long as the party progressed.

Genesee County Sheriff Christopher Swanson was the guest auctioneer for the sell-off of the live auction after dinner. Swanson a motivational speaker and professional auctioneer when he is not taking down criminals pumped up the crowd to a frenzy and the cash began to flow.

A two-night stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island raised $3,000. A VIP Behind the Scenes package with an Erik Jones Meet & Greet at the FireKeeper’s Casino 400 in June at Michigan International Speedway brought in $1,500. And a hug from Carol Jones, Erik’s mother, who was in attendance for the event.
Fundraising totals were not available at press time, estimates indicate it could be one of the most successful events Fenton Adopt-A-Pet has ever held. From the entertainment aspect is was certainly an all-star happening.
