Flint’s best golfer, Willie Mack III, had a great opening round at the Genesis Invitational. Round 2 did not work out as planned. After making five birdies and four bogeys on Thursday, the magic disappeared on Friday.

Starting on the day on the 10th hole, Mack made bogey on 11 and 14. Making the turn at 1 over par for the tournament, surviving the cut was still within reach. However, a bogey on 3 and a double bogey on the 4th hole, and the dream began to fade. No birdies would fall and Mack carded a round of 5 over par for a two-day total score of +4.

The cut fell at even-par and Mack was finished for the week. He also missed the cut in the Farmers Insurance Open last month by the same 4-stroke margin.
