The #1 seeded Michigan Wolverines trounced the #4 seed, the Florida State Seminoles, 76-58 to reach the finals of the East Regional in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. Michigan will now face the 11th seed, UCLA, who eliminated 2nd seed Alabama with an 88-78 win in overtime.

The matchup is scheduled for approximately 10:00 pm Tuesday night on TBS with the broadcast from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. UCLA eliminated Michigan State in their 1st Four play-in game to earn the 11th seed in the East. The winner of Tuesday’s contest advances to the Final Four next weekend.
Total Team Dominance
Michigan used balanced scoring from its starting 5 and a smothering defense to shut down the Florida State attack. The Seminoles were ranked 15th in the country in three-point field goals with 38.16 percent of their attempts finding the bottom of the net. The Wolverines forced misses on the first nine Florida State shots from behind the arc, State finished 5 of 20 from long range.
