Davison Wrestling Caps Remarkable Year with State Championship

Davison High School, Davison, MI — April 3, 2020

High School wrestling is a physically demanding sport. It takes a great deal of effort to excel at a level equal to a state champion in any weight class. It is even more remarkable when multiple athletes from a single school rise to that level.

Congratulations to the Davison High School Wrestling Team who earlier this week won the Michigan Division 1 State Wrestling Championship.

But, that’s not all. For the 1st time ever in Division 1, all 14 starting members of the Championship team qualified for the individual wrestler championships. Eight of those young men moved on to the semi-finals. Five won their weight class to become State Champions, Two more earned runner-up status.

Now that deserves some recognition.
