Back To The Bricks Returns in 2021

“Back To The Bricks” is Back! With outdoor entertainment events slowly opening back up, Flint is welcoming the annual Back To The Bricks celebration for 2021. Things kick off on Sunday, May 23, 2021, with the “Dust ‘Em Off Car Show.”

“Back to the Bricks® is excited to announce an ALL NEW event to their already impressive yearly lineup. 2020 brought many challenges, cancellations, and disappointments. But through it all, Back to the Bricks® stayed diligent and worked behind the scenes to plan new events for 2021 that will work with any social distancing guidelines in place.”

“We are thrilled for our car lovers because this one-of-a-kind, all-new event will be one of the first opportunities of the year for car fans to get their cars out, “Dust ‘em Off” so to speak, and showcase them for all to see.” Registration is full and a host of “Classic Cars” will greet visitors at the Dort Financial Center, 3501 Lapeer Rd, Flint, MI 48503, for this event.

Gates will open to the general public at 9 am. The event itself is FREE to the public. “Come and enjoy this family-friendly atmosphere, classic cars, the sounds of good music, food trucks to buy your favorite treats from, enter to win free giveaways, and even get exclusive access to the Back to the Bricks® merchandise booth, which will have ALL-NEW updated swag for purchase.”

Other Scheduled Events

Promo Tour Week is June 4th – June 9th, 2021. Promo Tours each June are a time of adventure and camaraderie for hundreds of classic car owners. The tours are designed to generate enthusiasm for Back to the Bricks® with mini car shows in each locale along the way.

Tune-Up Week is August 9th – 14th, 2021. During the week prior to the main event, the excitement builds as Tune-up Parties rev up on successive days around the county. Attractions and activities vary by location but include parties with a 50s, 60s, or 70s themes, concessions, vendors, live music, dancing in the streets, giveaways, and the opportunity to share stories with fellow car show enthusiasts from around the area.

Main Event Week

The main event week begins on Tuesday with “Bricks Flicks,” a family-oriented party at the nostalgic US-23 Drive-In theater on Fenton Road.

During the five-day extravaganza, excited crowds line the streets for the “Rolling Cruises” as the parade route stretches from the “red bricks” of Saginaw Street in downtown Flint to the city of Grand Blanc.

On Friday, there will be a car show and a live concert on Saginaw Street at 6 pm. Thousands will stroll the brick streets on Saturday to admire vehicles of every age and description, take pictures, buy souvenirs, and enjoy the fun.
