Fenton, MI — May 4, 2021
Once again this year, the streets of downtown Fenton will be closed to vehicle traffic as local businesses are expanding into the outdoors. The Fenton Street Experience, such a big hit in 2020, is returning again for another go this year. Thursday and Friday nights from 5 pm to 9 pm the streets are turned over to restaurants and merchants.
Starting May 20 and running through October 15th a portion of downtown will be restricted from driving through the area. “Leroy Street will be closed at Caroline all the way down to Shiawassee Ave at Adelaide so patrons can enjoy Downtown Fenton and Dibbleville, strolling the streets in a safe and socially distanced environment.”
Organizers are once again taking to the streets to encourage people to visit the Fenton hub of commerce.
“Our restaurants and retail shops will be open with options for shopping indoors, outdoors and dining indoors, outdoors and carry-out. Bring your family down to enjoy a variety of different events each week like corn hole, mini-golf, skate park, table tennis, the Farmers Market, classic cars, street chalk, Historical kiosk talks, multiple demonstrations, street performers and musicians, Kids gardening, and building projects.”
Don’t forget the Farmers Market on Thursdays.
