When I walked into the new Twisted Burger Diner just off Miller Road in Flint, anticipation had my taste buds watering. A new twist on an old favorite, can’t wait to try it!
Pretty much everything on the menu is twisted. It was a pleasant surprise to find burgers served on spiraled pretzel buns. I love most anything pretzel. But, if you are not a pretzel person don’t stop reading. They serve their old-fashioned burgers on conventional buns as well.
Talk about a great location, the Twisted Burger Diner is on the corner of Miller Road and I-75. Easy to get to from anywhere in Genesee County. They are easy to spot with the sparkling stainless steel siding of old-time roadside diners.
They are located in the parking lot of another well-known Flint establishment, Vehicle City Harley-Davidson. How fitting, motorcycles and diners seem to have a long-established connection. The official address? 3142 Miller Rd, Flint, MI 48507.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere
The restaurant is everything you would expect from an eatery with “Diner” in the name. Tables and chairs right out of the 50s, counter seats, booths, and plenty of outdoor seating.
The place is immaculate, shiny clean, and fresh, it does not smell like an old roadside food stop. Thankfully, the food tastes as you remember. Before fast food changed what a hamburger was really like.
Get your burger dressed with just the condiments you like. Mine featured swiss cheese, mustard, mayo, onions, tomato, and relish. With a side of onion rings, yum. The Twisted Lemonade Frozen was a real treat to go with the meal.
On the next visit, it’s going to be the Homemade Chili, Fried Corn on the Cob, and a Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Shakes, chocolate of course. They have twisted flavors also, Carmel & Coffee, Peanut Butter, Orange, Lemon, and Creamsicle. Check out the menu below, something for everyone, including the kids.
Lunch, Dinner, even Breakfast with 99¢ individual items you can build your own daily special. One more thing. Look for the Twisted Burger Food Truck around town, they will even cater for your next party or social event.
