New Century Chorale Raises Money for Local Charity

Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties was the beneficiary of the gift that will be used to assist local residents in need.

New Century Chorale recently performed a benefit concert and raised $520 for the Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties. This comprehensive health and human services agency provides counseling, meal programs, housing programs, foster care, and many other services to the community. Alison Hilyard, President of New Century Chorale presented the $520 check to Theresa Hurley. Alison said, “We are overjoyed to be able to help out such a worthy organization.”

New Century Chorale is a local adult community choir bringing the arts to the greater Flint
community. New Century Chorale is celebrating its 28th season of enriching lives, one song at a time in the community.

If you would like to enjoy more “Music in the Heart of the City” there is an upcoming concert scheduled on Sunday, January 30 at 4 PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Flint. The concert is entitled Beautiful Piano Music. The program will be presented by Dr. Carl
Angelo, Director of Music and Fine Arts/Organist at First Presbyterian Church of Flint.
This concert is free to the public. It is suggested that all patrons wear a mask.
