Sorry Lion’s fans, Detroit is not in this year’s game, again. However, if you dress in “Honolulu Blue” colors for an NFL game day you might be able to live the thrill of this year’s championship contest vicariously through a “favorite son” of the Motor City.
Matthew Stafford, a 12 year veteran of the Lions, is starting at quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams as they face the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday at 6:30 pm. Current odds have the Rams as a 4.5 point favorite. The Rams won the Super Bowl in 1999 when they were known as the St. Louis Rams. If they pull off the victory in Super Bowl LVI (that’s 56 for you non-Romans) it will be a first for the LA Rams and of course the first for Stafford.
