Grand Blanc, MI — March 16, 2022
Just south of downtown sits the beautiful campus of Grand Blanc High School, a proud reminder of the development of the quiet town just outside of Flint. But, just across Holly Road sits an abandoned building that many consider an eyesore. The former site of K-Mart and Farmer Jacks has sat decaying for too many years.
Great news, ABC 12 is reporting that the City of Grand Blanc has released plans to turn the site into a new development called the Grand Blanc Marketplace. Even better news the repurposed building could house popular eating places like Panda Express, Jersey Mike’s, Starbucks, and a 2941 Mediterranean Street Food restaurant. The Starbucks and Panda Express would occupy the opposite ends of the building allowing them to offer drive-thru service to their customers.
The city’s announcement shows the proposed plan with additional retail spaces available in the reconfigured building. This will certainly be a welcome addition for local residents. Not only will it improve the appearance of the area, foodies can never have enough eating options.
