CrossFit Fenton Athletes Compete at the Highest Level

The 2022 edition of the CrossFit Games is coming to a conclusion worldwide. Every CrossFit affiliate has the opportunity to enter athletes to compete globally. With individuals testing their level of fitness against members of their community, state, and world. In addition, to the CrossFit Open where rankings are published with every competitor listed. Fitness levels were also compared in Age Group divisions.

To make it to the qualifier level, you have to finish in the top 10% in your age division. These athletes, from their hard work all year long, qualified to compete at the next plateau of the Games. They completed 5 workouts over 3 days. These workouts tested their strength, high-level CrossFit skills, stamina, and power output in a variety of different manners. Just to make it to this point is a significant accomplishment.

CrossFit Fenton Excels

How did the local superstars from CrossFit Fenton do? Six members, a remarkable number for an individual CrossFit affiliate, earned the right to advance and compete.
The CrossFit Games Age Group Divisions draw huge numbers of total participants and are highly competitive worldwide. While many think CrossFit is a “young person’s game” – the truth is CrossFit is “every person’s game”, with divisions from teens to seniors. Workout 1

How fast can the athlete complete three rounds of these tasks with a 10-minute max time

  • 20 toe touches while hanging from their hands on an elevated horizontal bar
  • 20 alternating dumbbell snatches with a  70-lb (32.5-kg) dumbbell 

Workout 2 

20-minute max time

  • 50 overhead squats
  • 40 bar-facing burpees
  • 40 back-rack walking lunges
  • 30 bar-facing burpees
  • 30 cleans with a 95-lb (43-kg) barbell
  • 20 bar-facing burpees
  • 20 single-leg squats
  • 10 muscle-ups waist-high to the bar

As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes

  • 1 rope climb
  • 2 shuttle runs
  • 2 rope climbs
  • 4 shuttle runs
  • 3 rope climbs
  • 6 shuttle runs
  • 4 rope climbs
  • 8 shuttle runs
