Last month The Lasco Press notified our readers of an event that drew a tremendous amount of interest from parents with children of many ages. Canterbury Village in Lake Orion was hosting a SuperHero Saturday. Having never visited the locale we decided this might be a good time to stop by and observe the excitement. What a show it turned out to be.
Youngsters crowded around their favorite Marvel Comic superheroes and heroines. Smiles were everywhere, parents took pictures as the characters gladly posed with all wishing to snap a memory of the event. The Village staff was polite, accommodating, and helpful. Shops and restaurants in the Village were filled with attendees taking advantage of the shopping and eating opportunities.
Simply put, it was a fun day and if you brought wide-eyed kids, it made the journey even more enjoyable. If you have not visited Canterbury Village, don’t miss the opportunity to do so this summer. It’s like having an amusement park with changing themes right here in Southeastern Michigan

In fact, this weekend, May 28-29 the Village is presenting an experience that is sure to thrill young people with awe and wonder. Be there when the Dinosaurs and Dragons come for a visit.
Dino & Dragon Stroll is an interactive event allowing guests to walk thru this realistic and memorable outdoor experience. While guests stroll at their own pace, they can get up close to dinosaurs throughout the exhibit, ranging from babies to life-like and life-size dinosaurs including encounters with a T-Rex, Velociraptor, and Stegosaurus, just to name a few. Guests can also get up close and personal with a selection of large, serpentine, winged, horned, and legendary fire-breathing dragons, just as you imagined them.
This one-of-a-kind event will provide the best opportunity to see and feel what it must have been like when the world’s largest creatures roamed the earth!

The Dino & Dragon Stroll is set for May 28-29, 2022 at Canterbury Village 2359 Joslyn Ct.; Lake Orion, MI. Timed tickets are available with entry every half-hour 10 am-4 pm with a Sensory Friendly Session available: May 28 at 8:30 am
Tickets Start at $26.99 each. Children under 2, Military, and Veterans are free. Additional service fees will apply. Tickets are available online and for advance purchase only.
