Waterford Public Library, Waterford, MI — May 1st, 2022
Do you enjoy poetry and prose, how about listening to an essay instead of having to read it? Do you have an appreciation of the written word as an art form? Would you like to get involved with a group of people who can help you elevate your writing skills?
There is an event coming up that you should mark on your calendar and plan to attend. The Waterford Writers Workshop and the Oakland Fiction Writers are presenting an “Open Mic” on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at the Waterford Public Library from 2 to 4 pm.
The event will feature spoken renditions of the artwork written by group members. Admission is absolutely FREE! Come and enjoy. The performance is a great time to meet workshop members and learn about the meetings that they hold which are open to interested members of the public.
If you ever thought you might like to be a writer this is a great way to get started. At meetings, you can learn some basics, hear others share their thoughts on the art of writing, and even begin the process yourself.
The address of the Waterford Public Library is 5168 Civic Center Dr, Waterford Twp, MI 48329. There is no need to pre-register, just stop in and join the fun.
