Castle’s turrets and ramparts will be the backdrop for a wide range of entertainment as you stroll through an outdoor Medieval adventure at Canterbury Village. Encounter a unicorn and Pegasus, be entertained by ogres, musicians, jesters, magicians, fire breathers, mad Queens, over 30 entertainers, and more, all set to the backdrop of a real Castle!
The Michigan Medieval Faire is one of the most popular weekends of the year at Canterbury Village. You can join the fun this Saturday, July 16-Sunday, July 17, and again next week Saturday, July 23-Sunday, July 24. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm daily.

Knights in shining armor jousting on their great steeds will provide all the excitement of a medieval tournament as two Knights in full armor charge each other with leveled lances, mounted on their mighty steeds, each attempting to unhorse the other!
Take a walk-through a Dragon’s Den with life-like mythical dragons, see an actual Pegasus Winged Horse or have the young knights enter into some combat training with Helaman’s Warriors taking up foam swords to battle against each other while others can try their hand at the Battlefield skills competition with the Rangers of Asgard with ax and archery games. Or just take a seat, grab a Cotton Candy and watch a traditional Punch and Judy show!
That is just the beginning of the entertainment, there will be plenty of activities for the entire family, demonstrations of actual medieval combat, along with many other entertainers. This year Canterbury Village is bringing you a host of great entertainment and entertainers for your delight from across the Renaissance/Medieval Faire circuit including the Knights of the New Order Joust Company on their mighty steeds, the Detroit Fight Club who will demonstrate Medieval Ground fighting, to the antics of RicRoc, The Rogue Blades and Ample & Trite.
There are fire breathers, dancers, bubble fairies, ogres, a Royal Court, and a host of other lane performers and entertainers to entertain and delight you at every turn as you stroll through the quaint Village. Live performance, bands playing Celtic music including a great lineup of Bands; Wakefire, Roane, Black Murray, Lads of the Lash, Ironwood, just to name a few.

Canterbury Village is located at 2359 Joslyn Ct. in Lake Orion, MI 48360. A short ride from almost anywhere in Southeast Michigan. Dress the part, come enjoy the excitement, and take photos. Then afterward, sit and enjoy a cold drink or a pint of ale or mead and feast on a Turkey Leg, at the C-Pub.
