About the MXoN
This is the second time in the last five years that Redbud has hosted the MXoN. “The best dirt on earth” welcomed the world’s greatest riders in 2018 with France winning the title through the efforts of Gautier Paulin / Dylan Ferrandis / Jordi Tixier.
The last time the United States won this prestigious event was in France at Saint-Jean-d’Angély. The team of Ryan Dungey / Blake Baggett / Ryan Villopoto capped off a run of seven consecutive victories for the U.S. from 2005 to 2011.
Italy is the defending champion of the MXoN. The trio of Antonio Cairoli / Alessandro Lupino / Mattia Guadagnini won the event on their home turf in 2021.
Team USA looks to repeat that feat in 2022 under Tomac’s leadership. He dominated both 450mx motos in Round 5 of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship held on the July 2nd weekend at Redbud this year.
