The results are in, the people have spoken, and the automobile industry’s recognized authority on vehicle reliability has posted the outcome. The J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS) is out, and Mitsubishi is celebrating its position in the upper echelon of the world’s manufacturers.  Of the 31 brands ranked, the “Triple Diamond” logo appears 6th on the list. Outranking its class competitors is a massive gold star for the Mitsubishi product line.

According to J.D. Power, the Quality and Reliability ratings are a combination of quality and dependability scores. Quality scores are based on initial owner response and feedback of their new purchase, whereas Dependability scores focus on longer-term ownership experiences of 3 years.

Mitsubishi Dependability

It is no surprise that Mitsubishi continues to climb the dependability ladder. The company’s overall commitment to quality is showcased with one of the automobile industry’s longest warranties. Covering their vehicles for 10 years or 100,000 miles, the powertrain limited warranty speaks to their confidence in the reliability of the product line.

Consumers recognize the trends. Combining quality with the outstanding value Mitsubishi provides with its purchase price points and fuel economy statistics makes the model line a best-buy consideration.
