DNR Announces Youth Pheasant Hunt and Women’s Duck Hunt in October

RJ Studer Memorial Youth Pheasant Hunt

Sunday, Oct. 22
Morning session: 8 a.m. to noon
Afternoon session: 1-5 p.m.
Muzzy Pheasant Farm, Corunna

Learn all about pheasant hunting during this event for youth ages 12-17, with a hunter safety talk, clay pigeon shoot, walk-up pheasant hunt, demonstration of how to clean pheasants, and lunch.

The cost is $30 per participant, which includes eye and ear protection, shells, a hat, a gun case, and lunch. Participants must be accompanied by an adult.

Women’s Duck Hunt

The Safari Club International Flint Chapter will present this event for women only.
The hunt will be within approximately a one-hour drive of Flint, with the location announced the week of the event. A phone number for communication is required for registration.
The cost is $200. Hunters need to bring their own guns and shells and have proper hunting licenses and gear prior to arriving at the event.
