“The Ally Community Concert has become a source of energy for the tournament, and we plan to fuel that again with an amazing performance from Thomas Rhett,” said Andrea Brimmer, chief marketing and public relations officer at Ally. “This year, we’ll continue the tradition of golf and music fans coming together at The Ally Challenge for great entertainment.”

In related news, tickets for the 2024 Ally Challenge presented by McLaren go on sale this Friday, April 19, at 10 AM (EDT). The tournament is open to spectators from Thursday (August 22) to Sunday (August 25), and ticket prices start at $15. Access to the Ally Community Concert featuring Thomas Rhett and Friday’s third annual Concert @17 presented by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort requires the purchase of a valid tournament ticket. Details regarding this year’s Friday concert will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Ally continues to provide the music industry’s top names for our Saturday concert event, and this year is no exception,” said Erin Stone, the tournament’s director of business development and community engagement. “Thomas Rhett will bring his electrifying performance to excite fans at the Ally Community Concert, headlining a week of world-class golf, fan destinations, and special events, including The Concert @17 on Friday.”

The Lasco Press had the opportunity to speak with Erin after the announcement and asked about the significance of the Ally Community Concert to the Grand Blanc/Flint area. “Of course, the $7.3 million dollars raised thus far by The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren is a great sense of pride for everyone involved with the tournament. It is especially significant to note that every one of those dollars stays in the community to benefit local individuals assisted by our charity partners.”

We also wanted to know how big of a draw the Ally Community Concert was in terms of attracting fans. “That is a good question,” Stone said. “Looking at the locations from which ticket requests are received. The fans travel from everywhere in the Upper Midwest region to attend the tournament and concert. We appreciate their interest and support. As do the local businesses like hotels, restaurants, goods and services providers. The economic impact on the whole area is another means of pumping dollars into the economy.”

Erin interjected, “We also want to mention the fun and excitement that everyone enjoys during tournament week. Military appreciation, sponsor events, the Concert at 17 with the atmosphere that lasts all weekend, and the fun zone attractions for youngsters and adults alike.”

The 2024 Ally Challenge presented by McLaren will take place the week of August 19 – 25 at the renowned Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club.

The Ally Challenge is one of the premier Regular-Season events on the PGA TOUR Champions in 2024, which will give way to the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, a season-ending, three-tournament series used to determine the TOUR’s season-long champion.

All three rounds of The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren will be broadcast on Golf Channel.
