Fox Raceway National, Pala, CA — May 25. 2024

The Pro Motocross Championship roars to a start today from Fox Raceway in Pala, California with a gate drop at 4 pm live on the Peacock Network. Here is the full outdoor season television schedule that leads into the Super Motocross World Championship this fall

Jett Lawrence, winner of the 2024 AMA Supercross premier class title, will be looking to repeat his rookie campaign in the 2023 outdoor season by bringing home another Pro Motocross Championship this year. Here are the standings for the year-end championship after the Supercross season.

250 Moto One

Levi Kitchen(47) started out like he was going to dominate the 250 class after just missing the 250CC West Title in Supercross by five points to RJ Hampshire(24). But, two riders from the East, Haiden Deegan(38) and East Champion Tom Vialle(16) would not let him pull away in the first 250 moto of Pro Motocross.

After leading most of the race, Kitchen caught a track marker bar in his boot with two laps to go. He removed the yellow spike quickly, but it was just enough for Deegan to pounce and take the lead. Vialle finished in third to complete the podium as Deegan took the first checkered flag of the outdoor season.

450 Moto One

Jett Lawrence(1) picked up right where he left off after going undefeated in Pro Motocross last year. He took the holeshot and rode away from the field from the start.

Aaron Plessinger(7) rolled out second with Hunter Lawrence(96) in third and Justin Cooper(32) just off the podium in fourth. Eager to prove he could ride with anyone in this class, Hunter Lawrence moved past Plessinger late in the moto, just as Dylan Ferrandis(14) passed Cooper for fourth.

The three leaders advanced to the checkered flag. Ferrandis faded, and Chase Sexton(4) made a last-lap pass to take the fourth spot away from Cooper.

250 Moto Two

Jalek Swoll grabbed the holeshot in Moto Two. He could not hold the lead for long as Haiden Deegan powered past on the inside and rode away establishing an interval from the start. Levi Kitchen sat in third. He passed Swoll and Tom Vialle moved into the fourth spot and began closing on Swool. However, Vialle went down before he could catch the Triumph rider. He dropped to fifth. Nate Thrasher moved into fourth.

Vialle recovered from his crash and moved back to fourth. He chased down Swoll and took the final podium position. Deegan led the whole way and finished two seconds ahead of Kitchen.

450 Moto Two

In the 450 Moto Two, it was Hunter Lawrence getting the holeshot over his brother Jett. However as soon as they were out of the corner, Jett roared away from the field. Phil Nicoletti came away third as Chase Sexton and Jason Anderson followed closely. They both made quick work of Nicoletti.

With ten minutes to go in the Moto, Sexton passed Hunter Lawrence to get within 0.75 seconds of Jett. Hunter in the third, held a big advantage over Anderson in the fourth position.

The interval Jett Lawrence held over Sexton fluctuated until Sexton ran off the track with 2 minutes to go and the time between them jumped to five seconds.

Sexton made a valiant effort to end the Lawrence unbeaten streak but fell short on the final lap. The brother finished 1-2 in the overall. The first time since 1973, two brothers ran in the top two positions.
